Why the FTN matters
The FAA Tracking Number is a permanent identifier used across airman certification and knowledge testing. It is not the drone registration number, Remote ID serial, or certificate number.

Common problems
- Name mismatch: nicknames, missing suffixes, or inconsistent middle names can conflict with testing-center identification.
- Duplicate account: creating a second record can complicate processing. Recover the existing account when possible.
- Wrong identifier: do not enter a drone registration number where the FTN is requested.
Use the official IACRA website. A third-party course may explain the process, but it cannot issue a legitimate FTN outside the FAA system.
